A store on Love Lane needed an emergency service call after a key broke in its Adams Rite door hardware. Twinforks Locksmith removed the broken key. The photo shows the snapped key and the piece still in the cylinder before extraction.

A broken key does not automatically mean every part of the lock needs replacing. The remaining fragment must be removed and the cylinder and door operation assessed. Rekeying is worth considering when the existing locks are compatible and in good condition, but you need different keys. Replacement may make sense for damaged hardware or a change in function. Make a list of exterior doors, garage access and any locks you want to operate with the same key.
